The Senior Home International 2010 is to be held in Hampshire, centred on the New Forest, on 6-7 November. It’s England’s turn to host the SHI and South Central OA has kindly taken this on. The England team will comprise 6 x Men, 6 x Women, 3 x M20 and 3 x W20. The team will be selected using the results of all National Events, UK Cup, Future Champions Cup and WOC selection races from 1 March to 18 May, with the greatest importance accorded to the ‘Long’ races and the ‘Sprints’ accorded less. Other known form (till 11 July 2010) will be considered for reserve selections if needed. Potential team members are advised to draw the selectors’ attention to results in other races they feel would contribute to the selection process. If M20 or W20 competitors run in the Open class then their results will be taken into account on a mpk basis. M35 or W35 competitors are encouraged to run Open if they seek selection nevertheless their results in class will be taken into account on a mpk basis.
The selectors would be pleased to hear from any potential team member who, having run for another nation, wishes to reinvigorate their international career running for England.
