Interland 2017 – Senior Selection Policy
The 2017 Interland Cup international against Belgium, the Netherlands and NE France is to be hosted by the Fédération Régionale des Sports d’Orientation (FRSO – Belgium) and is to be held in the Ardennes, near Herbeumont (160km south of Brussels) on 2 April. The senior contingent of the England team will comprise 3 x M21s, 3 x W21s, 2 x M20s and 2 x W20s. Team members will be selected using the results of the British Long Championships, the British Middle (distance) Championships, the SHI (Anglesey – 22 Oct), and 3 races in the autumn (listed below). In the Southern Championships (November Classic) and in the two Lakes UKOL races athletes should run the courses designated for their class in the event details. Comparison between classes/courses will, where necessary, be made on a climb adjusted mpk basis. Other known form (till 9 December 2016) will also be considered. Potential team members are advised to draw the selectors’ attention to results in other races they feel would contribute to the selection process.
