England are hosting Senior Home International 2015 and Yorkshire and Humberside OA and Airienteers have kindly agreed to organise it on 19-20 September with the individual races alongside the Northern Championships at Monk’s Road, Settle (Malham Tarn to Arncliffe) and the relays on Hawkswick Clowder in Upper Wharfdale. The England team will comprise 9 x men (6 open, 3 x M20) and 9 women (6 open, 3 x W20) and will be selected using the results of all UK Orienteering League events held between 8 February and 10 May plus the Schiehallion weekend races (19-21 Jun). Other known form, and in particular UKOL races in early August (Days 2 and 3 of the Scottish 6 Days), may be considered for reserve selections if needed. Sprint, night and urban races will be given less weight in the selection process. Potential team members are advised to draw the selectors’ attention to results in other races they feel would contribute to the selection process. If M20 or W20 competitors run in the Open class in an event then their results will be taken into account on an mpk basis. M35/40 or W35/40 competitors are encouraged to run Open/21E if they seek selection, nevertheless their results in class will be taken into account on an mpk basis.

SHI Selections will be made and promulgated by 25 June.

Selectors: Martin Ward (SYO/SPOOK), Lesley Ross (OD), John Rye (RMOC, Chairman)
