Senior Home International 2016 is hosted by Wales on 22-23 October on Newborough Warren and Forest, Anglesey. The England team will comprise 9 x men (6 open, 3 x M20) and 9 women (6 open, 3 x W20) and will be selected using the results of all UK Orienteering League races held between 28 February and 13 June and in addition the LOC Weekend races (Tarn Hows, Holme Fell) on 2-3 April and the Scottish Spring (Middle -WRE) on 24 April (Bonskeid, Pitlochry). Other known form may be considered, in particular for reserve selections. Sprint, night and urban races will be given less weight in the selection process. Potential team members are advised to draw the selectors’ attention to results in other races they feel would contribute to the selection process. If M20 or W20 competitors run in the Open class in an event then their results will be taken into account on an mpk basis. M35/40 or W35/40 competitors are encouraged to run Open/21E if they seek selection, nevertheless their results in class will be taken into account on an adjusted (for climb) mpk basis.

Some early M21 and W21 selections will be made by 2 May (up to 50% ie 3) based on the races up to 30 April. Full selections will be made and promulgated by 15 July.
