Senior Home International 2019 is to be hosted by Wales (SBOC) on 7-8 September. The England team will comprise 9 x men (6 open, 3 x M20) and 9 women (6 open, 3 x W20).

Selections will use the results of the eight Long and Middle distance races in the UK Elite Orienteering League (see http://www.ukeliteoleague.org.uk/), with results at the JK Long and British Long being given the most significance.

All known form will be considered as the Selectors recognise that some athletes choose to live abroad. Results from high quality races other than those listed, including international competitions, will be considered. Athletes are advised to contact the Selectors to highlight results from other races that they wish to be considered.

If M20 or W20 competitors run in the Open class in an event then their results will be taken into account on an adjusted (for climb) mpk basis. M35/40 or W35/40 competitors are encouraged to run Open/21E if they seek selection, nevertheless their results in class will be taken into account on the same (adjusted) basis.

Some early selections may be made soon after the JK Long on 21 April. Full selections will be made and promulgated by 1 June.

Selectors: Martin Ward (SYO, Chairman), Sarah Rollins (SN), John Duckworth (DVO)
