VHI 2022 – Report and Results
This year’s Veteran Home International took place over the weekend of 1st/2nd October near Dolgellau in Mid-Wales.
The open, rocky, moorland of Gwanas was the venue for the Individual, with similar terrain at Llechweddgain for the Relay.
There were Individual wins for Oli Johnson (M40), Quentin Harding (M60), Liz Drewe (W40), Kim Baxter (W45), Sara Campbell (W55), Vicky Thornton (W60) and Jackie Hallett (W65), which with solid performances from the rest of the team gave England a narrow lead at the end of the first day.
Some great Relay runs, with teams finishing 1st, 3rd, 4th in the MWM, and 2nd, 3rd, 4th in the WMW, classes, then gave England a convincing overall victory.
